When it comes to filling up those tight spaces in your landscape or even that empty space between your bigger palm trees, an ideal palm for use in our area is the Phoenix roebelenii, also known as the Pygmy Date Palm.

At Moon Valley Nursery, we have custom grown all of our Pygmy Date Palms from our best specimens at our farms across the Southwest. Our climate and special Super Palm Juice fertilizer generates thicker trunks, fuller crowns, and more robust roots for the Pygmy Date Palm. This separates our Pygmy Date Palms from others you might see at other nurseries. Ours look better, grow healthier, thrive in hot full sun, and are more cold hardy than typical Pygmy Date Palms.

Pygmy Date Palms can be used in many landscape applications. Depending on your need, we carry both single and multi-trunk varieties. Looks great around my pool!

Never heard of this type of smaller palm until I went down to the nursery. Love this Moon Valley recommendation.
Looks great with my King Palms

I planted 8 of these around some King Palms on a big slope in my backyard. These really make the taller palms look great and help with the dirt that comes off into my pool. Moon Valley had their crew of planters come out to my house and got all this stuff planted in just a few hours. They cleaned up more than needed and made sure I was happy and the Mrs. was happy as well.

Works Great with Mexican Palms

Planted 8 of these with some Mexican Palms and they look really awesome. These are a lot shorter growing then the other ones and they look really good and clean. I like how they have a few different trunks growing out of them cause it makes the area nice and full looking. These are also really clean compared to things that have flowers on them. Moon Valley planted these with a bunch of other things and they did it really fast, like 4 hours fast. They did a great job, very happy.

Great palms!

My wife and I visited Moon Valley with the goal of finding accent plants for our yard. We were driven around on a golf cart and presented all of the various tropical plants and loved everything. We were given the recommendation of the pygmy date palm by the nursery rep and completely feel in love with them when taken to the palms. These pygmy palms are perfect for accenting our taller palms or even being the focal point themselves. A few months after planting, these pygmy's are thriving and look amazing in my yard!
